Drama Therapy

Drama therapy is a creative and embodied, improvisational-based method that can help clients feel more engaged and experience greater freedom and presence in their bodies and lives.

Drama therapy can be made available in individual or group sessions, or incorporated as needed in verbal psychotherapy at times when a client may feel stuck, in their head, or be interested in a different approach.

I have been a guest lecturer on drama therapy at many academic and post-graduate institutions including  New York University, The School of Visual Arts,Manhattanville College and the White Institute. I was an adjunct faculty member at the New School and am currently on faculty at the Apollo Institute in Beijing, China. I am available for teaching, guest lectures and supervision.

Supervision

I provide clinical supervision, both short and long term, to help students and interested professionals develop alternative work perspectives and see things more clearly. I act as a guide, a bridge, offering feedback to help strengthen clinical and creative impulses in our often challenging work. Supervision sessions will provide perspective, greater clarity and containment, and encourage clinicians to find a greater sense of their own voice in their clinical work and experience with clients. I am currently a clinical modality supervisor for expressive therapy graduate students at Lesley College.

As a licensed creative arts therapist, Registered Drama Therapist (RDT) and Board Certified Trainer (BCT) I can provide clinical supervision and/or consultation to:

  • Students of creative arts therapies

  • Practicing creative arts therapists

  • Professionals seeking consultation in the use of drama and arts in therapy and supportive services.
